Shaft / Duct / Open space in NorthWest & SouthEast should be of same size. Construction of these on any one side only has adverse effects.
if there is Shaft / Duct on West side then equal or bigger size of the same should be constructed on the East side. However Shaft / Duct may be there only in the East side.
if there is Shaft / Duct on SouthWest side then equal or bigger size of the same should be constructed on the NorthEast side. However Shaft / Duct may be there only in the NorthEast side.
