In upper floors while constructing toilet, there may be a sink/ditch being built from where water is drained out by pipes embedded in the terrace thus causing increased thickness of the terrace on that side and hence heavier too. Such increased height and heaviness would have its effects on the residence depending upon this side such variation has occurred. It is for this reason, such sinks/dithech etc be made towards South, West, SouthWest side where these are permitted.

Garbage & filth are not recommended towards NorthEast. However the modern toilets are free from this defect. Hence these may be placed anywhere in the building. Care should be taken however that toilet seat is never in East - West direction. Or else towards fag end of one's life. There may be untold difficulties.
